There are many at my place..usually on the walls..but never seen one this close..scary!
This is one awesome macro shot!! So cool! Even the purple-ish background match the spider perfectly.
Do you need to move real close? I don't do macro photography so not sure about the distance people need to get to shoot.
Amila, is this the common small spider that usually hangs around windows and stuff? Beautiful capture, since those things are tiny! :D
Wow!, so many black spectacles!.
amazing shot Amila, love the DOF.
My first time to see it so big in front of me.
OH MY!!!!!
I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You get a goldstar from me :D

hmph...I gasped at the sight of that creepy critter !... I hate em...but admit they are beautiful when blown up into epic proportions the way you have done Amila...Genius !
Amazing shot. Glad I've never encountered one of these.
Hi All,
Thank you very much for your comments. I got within 4 inches to shoot this at life size, Ai Shiang. This shot is the original, uncropped version. It is commonly seen in human dwellings, and yes, Chavie, this is one of the species, which hangs around windows and stuff.
The eyes have it! Beautiful, creepy shot!
He is awesome! You got such a wonderful shot of him! Amazing!
Oh, wow - that's THE best spider photo I've seen. And I love the colour of the background too.
Those eyes are mesmerising. Great shot!
My god look at those eyes.............
Awesome - so crisp, so much detail. You've really captured this spider well. Brilliant photograph!

Oh yes, I have these jumping jacks leaving spidery trails all over the place in my house and garden. I'm glad I dont really see how scary they look when magnified.
Amila- thanks. As usual loads of info, thanks again
Amilia: That is a neat capture of the spider. How have you been?
I don't like spiders much but your photo makes that one look like a work of art.-Excellent!
Love your insect macros! I feel I am entering a different world, a sort of parallel universe, a great privilege!
