I had five Blue-tailed Bee-Eaters flying overhead on 1 Sep, 2007 at a wetland close to Malabe. These were my first for this migratory season. Interestingly, my first Blue-tailed Bee-eater for the last migratory season was also on 1 Sep, 2006 when I had several Blue-tailed Bee-eaters flying over the Panadura Sports Club grounds while leading a cricket tour with Whalers Cricket Club in England!
